Nomadic By Nature Day Hikes:

Yellowstone is the second largest National Park in the contiguous United States.  The majority of visitors drive from one main attraction to the next and miss the “real Yellowstone” that lies in-between. 

With over 1,000 miles of hiking trails in the Yellowstone, it is so important to get out of the car, lace up your boots and set out on a hike. Join Nomadic By Nature on a guided day hike on the best trails in Yellowstone, and enhance your time in the park with a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

PRICE:

$500 for one person, plus $50 for each additional person

All day hikes are private, so we will cater the hike to your party's interests and abilities.  Below, we have listed some of our favorite day hikes in Yellowstone, but we encourage you to look on a map to find a trail that interests you.  We can then work together to build the perfect day hike for you and your family.

Recommended day hikes:

​Cougar Creek:

  • Highlights include wide-open meadows, backcountry Patrol Cabin, easily accessible from West Yellowstone

Old Faithful to Biscuit Basin:

  • Highlights include thermal features, beautiful colored hot springs, unique geology, insight into what causes thermal features.

Wrangler Lake:

  • Highlights include expansive meadows, wildlife, remote lake, wildflowers.

  • Highlights include waterfalls, epic vistas, geology, thermal features.

  • Highlights include wide-open views, suspension bridge, antler sheds, Northern Range mountains.

How Day Hikes Work

Day Hike Guidelines: 

  • All day hikes are private.

  • All day hikes begin at 9 am, however, times are flexible, please inquire.

  • Meet your guide at the designated trailhead in the park.

  • Day hike price does not include park entrance fee, $35 per vehicle.

  • Lunch is provided and prepared along the trail by your guide. Please make sure to complete the health questionnaire with all dietary restrictions.

Gear Provided By Nomadic By Nature:

  • Bear spray, trekking poles, first aid kit, lunch

What You Need To Bring:

  • Hiking boots or shoes, day pack, light jacket, rain jacket, hat, sunglasses, 2-liters of water, snacks.

  • When packing for a day hike, please consider the weather and time of year. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us.

How Booking Works:

  • All bookings must be made 48 hours before your desired hike.

  • Full payment for your group is due at the time of booking (plus a 6% park fee).

  • Please complete the health questionnaire, sent with your confirmation email. 

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

  • There are NO refunds once the reservation is made.
